Terms and Conditions
Effective date: [Effective date, to be confirmed before launch]
1. Who we are
Dubai School Match ("the Service", "we", "us") is operated by [Operator legal entity, to be confirmed before launch]. Contact: hello@dubaischoolmatch.com. These Terms govern your use of dubaischoolmatch.com and any report, feature or content provided through it.
2. Acceptance of these Terms
By creating an account, starting the questionnaire, or purchasing a report, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Disclaimer and Refund Policy, which together form the agreement between you and us. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
3. Nature of the Service
The Service provides AI-generated informational reports intended solely as decision-support material for parents choosing schools.
The Service does not provide educational, psychological, medical, legal or other professional advice. Reports are generated by automated systems based on information supplied by you and on publicly available third-party data. A report does not constitute a recommendation, endorsement or guarantee of any school, admission outcome, educational result, or experience at any school.
4. Eligibility and who provides the data
The Service is intended for adults aged 18 or over acting as a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of any child whose information you provide, or that you have that parent's or guardian's authority to provide it. We do not collect information directly from children. All information about a child is provided by you, on the child's behalf, for the sole purpose of generating school-matching output.
5. Your account and your information
You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account credentials secure. The quality of any report depends directly on the completeness and accuracy of the information you provide. We are not responsible for output shaped by incomplete, inaccurate or withheld information.
6. Payments, delivery and the first-report guarantee
Prices are shown at checkout in AED. Payment is processed by our payment provider; we do not store card details. Currency conversion for non-AED cards is handled by the payment provider, and the exact equivalent in your card's currency may vary slightly. Digital reports are delivered to your account and by email after payment.
First-report guarantee: if your first purchased report is not what you hoped for, request a refund within 14 days through your account. We will ask a few short questions about what did not fit. Your answers help other kids and families get the best outcome, and the refund is processed regardless of the answers. The guarantee applies once per account, to the first purchased report. Later purchases are governed by the Refund Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under mandatory consumer law, including the Australian Consumer Law and the UAE Consumer Protection Law (Federal Law No. 15 of 2020).
7. AI-generated content and support
Reports are AI-generated. The matching behind them is produced by automated processing of your questionnaire answers and structured school data. Support and error reports are handled through your account by our AI support agent, with human oversight applied to selected cases at our discretion. We do not guarantee individual human review of any report or request. Nothing in this clause limits your rights under the Refund Policy or mandatory consumer law.
8. Independence of schools
All schools referenced in any report or on the site are independent third parties. We have no affiliation with, control over, or responsibility for any school, its staff, premises, policies, admissions decisions, fees, educational outcomes, or the safety and wellbeing of students enrolled there. Inclusion of a school in a report does not constitute an endorsement, and omission does not constitute criticism. We receive no referral fees from schools for placement in reports.
9. Your responsibility as the decision-maker
The decision to apply to, enrol in, or remain at any school rests solely with you as the parent or guardian. You acknowledge that:
- a report is one input among many in your decision;
- the accuracy of a report depends on the information you provided;
- you are expected to independently verify all material facts, including fees, seat availability, curriculum, admissions requirements and year-group placement, directly with the school before acting;
- the responsibility to choose is yours.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, [Operator legal entity, to be confirmed before launch] shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, cost or expense of any kind arising from or in connection with:
- (a) your choice of school or decision to apply, enrol, remain or withdraw;
- (b) any act, omission, event or circumstance occurring at or in relation to any school, before, during or after enrolment;
- (c) any inaccuracy, incompleteness or change in third-party data, including school and regulator data;
- (d) any indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability in connection with the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the report giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including statutory guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these Terms, your provision of information you were not authorised to provide, or your misuse of the Service or of any report.
12. Intellectual property
Reports are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial family use. All content of the Service, including report structure, texts, learner profile framework, visual design and underlying methodology, is our intellectual property. You may not resell, republish, reverse-engineer or use the Service or its output to build a competing product. You may share your own report privately with family members and with schools as part of your admissions process.
13. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by submitting false information, attempting to extract the matching methodology, scraping the site, or interfering with its operation.
14. Third-party data
School data is drawn from publicly available sources, including the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA). We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of KHDA or any school. Data may change after publication; the Disclaimer page governs data accuracy.
15. Changes to the Service and to these Terms
We may update the Service and these Terms. Material changes will be notified on the site or by email, with the new effective date shown. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your place of residence.
17. Acknowledgement
By purchasing a report you confirm that you have read and understood that the report is AI-generated, that it is informational decision support only, that schools are independent third parties outside our control, and that the responsibility to choose remains with you.
