They draw together and use AI to take those ideas further. He still emphasises reading, writing and arithmetic, but believes children should grow up understanding AI as a “superpower” they should have.

Bill Gates has been looking at AI education from inside real classrooms.
He visited a school piloting Khanmigo, Khan Academy’s AI tutor, and saw how it helped teachers give students more individual support and feedback. He came away more optimistic about AI’s potential in education.
