Dubai School Match ("we", "us", "the Service") is operated by [Operator legal entity, to be confirmed before launch]. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and share personal data when you use dubaischoolmatch.com.

Because we serve families in Dubai, this policy is designed to meet the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), the EU General Data Protection Regulation where it applies to users in the EU or UK, and the Australian Privacy Act 1988. Where these differ, we apply the higher standard.

• Information you give us:your name, email address, and the answers you provide when you use the Service. In the free quiz this includes your child's first name (optional) and the curriculum, area, budget and school stage you are considering. In the paid Match Report this also includes your child's date of birth and your answers about how your child learns, plays and settles in, which you provide as the parent or guardian.
• Information collected automatically: device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, and interactions with the Service, collected through cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
• We do not collect data directly from children.The quiz is designed to be completed by a parent or guardian. Any information about a child is provided by that adult on the child's behalf, solely to generate school-matching results, and we do not ask for a child's contact details or any sensitive information about the child.

• To match schools to your answers and generate your free results and your paid Match Report.
• To operate and improve the Service and its features.
• To send you the emails you sign up for, and, only with your consent, occasional updates about the Service.
• To understand how the Service is used and to improve it.
• To meet legal obligations.

We process your data on the basis of your consent (which you can withdraw at any time), and where relevant to perform the service you asked for. We do not sell your personal data.

Your free results and your Match Report are generated by the AI School Matchmaker™, an automated process that matches schools against the information you provide. These outputs are informational and are not a decision that has legal or similarly significant effects on you or your child. They do not replace your own judgment or a school's admissions decision.

You have the right to understand the main factors used in the matching, to ask us to review a result manually, to express your point of view, and to contest a result. To do so, contact us at hello@dubaischoolmatch.com.

We only add you to email sequences you have signed up for. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect promptly. We do not use your data for marketing without your consent.

We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy. Where required, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

Our platform runs on third-party infrastructure, including Supabase (data hosting and accounts) and an email platform (Kit), and, where analytics is enabled, an analytics provider. These providers may store and process data on servers located outside the UAE, including in the European Union, the United States, or Australia. When we transfer data across borders we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected to the standard described in this policy.

We share data only with the service providers that help us run the Service (hosting, data, email, analytics) under agreements that require them to protect it, and where we are required to by law. We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.

We keep your data only as long as needed to provide the Service and to meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

Depending on where you are, you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, request portability, and ask for a human review of automated results. To exercise any of these, email hello@dubaischoolmatch.com. We respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office, your local data protection authority, or the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you harm, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
